about
This is a song about my mom. She suffers from alcoholism. I'm just speaking out, sending a message to others saying if someone you love makes a mistake, you should be there to support them through the thick and thin. If you don't then ask yourself. Do you really love them? Well i do really love my mom and no matter what shes done, I can still forgive her.
lyrics
You know there's one man I love in this fucked up world,
the man that made me possible in this world,
he does everything he can to help out my mom Pam,
who sits in Spokane rottin' like a moldy ham,
it's that damn alcohol and I'm pretty sure she knows it,
she doesn't wanna change my dad somehow makes it work,
I don't know how when he wants to go berserk,
I remember being nine when everything was so fine,
it was a good life till' she picked up the bottle,
hit the gas full throttle,
three flips into a ditch,
didn't even know what hit her,
one more she would've been laying in the ditch turning off the life switch (switch).
Chorus:
I know I still love you because you my mother,
and this rehab shit should help you out like no other,
I know you messed up but i can still forgive you,
just get better and our hearts and prayers will be with you (x2)
back when I was nine,
everything was truly fine,
I don't know how it turned and just crashed and burned,
it was like a bad dream comin' to real life,
and my dad still calls her his own wife,
but I just don't see it getting any better,
had to move out of there it was like bad weather,
she finally stopped but just for a little,
she got right back on it like that shit wasn't evil,
I told er' once before you can't do this anymore,
it was like a horror core her fallin' all on the floor,
every single fall it made my heart sore,
Mom, I'm leavin' out the door.
Chorus:
You know I still love you because you my mother,
and this rehab shit should help you out like no other,
You know you messed up but i can still forgive you,
just get better and our hearts and prayers will be with you (x2)
